Valenti Management was founded in 1979 by Darrell Valenti. The organization, with more than 4,500 employees, celebrated its twenty-fifth year of operation in 2004. During those 25 years the organization has enjoyed tremendous success. From one KFC restaurant in California, the company grew to become the fifth largest operator of KFC restaurants with operations in California, Washington, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.
In 1985 the company grew its operations into Florida with its first Taco Bell acquisition in the Broward and Palm Beach county areas. In 1988 the company expanded its Taco Bell operation with the acquisition of the Tampa Bay Taco Bell market, making the company the largest franchise operator of Taco Bell restaurants.
In 1993 the company sold its Taco Bell operation to Taco Bell Corporation. Taco Bell Corporation was in an acquisition mode at the time and was seeking to acquire strategic markets. Over the next three years the company began to spin off its KFC markets through a series of transactions while retaining the ownership of the majority of the restaurant properties for long term investment.
In 1997, Valenti Management acquired 38 Wendy's restaurants in Pennsylvania. The market stretches from Harrisburg to Philadelphia. Then in 1999, the company acquired an additional 54 Wendy's restaurants in the Memphis Mid-south area which includes Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi. Today, Valenti Management has become one of the largest Wendy's Franchises in the United States with 122 restaurants.
In August 2004, Valenti Management acquired 9 Chili's Grill and Bar restaurants from Brinker International, as well as development rights for much of Mississippi and Alabama. The Chili's brand has grown to 17 Chili's restaurants with the expectation in the coming years to grow this number of restaurants to approximately 25 within these two geographical markets.

The Valenti Management Training Center is a Certified Training Center for Wendy's International. This certification enables Valenti Training Department to teach Wendy's International curriculum. The Training Department has two on site instructors and proctors certified by the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation to teach Serve Safe. Through the Training Center, Valenti has 38 Wendy's restaurants that are Certified Training Stores that can teach operation procedures and operation systems to new managers.
The Valenti Real Estate and Development division is responsible for all aspects of new restaurant growth including site selection and construction.
The Valenti Management IT team supports the various and diversified needs of all Valenti entities. In additional, it boasts it own programming team and is active in the design of the next generation of POS software and hardware through its' participation in different advisory groups.
The first Wendy's opened in 1969 in downtown Columbus, Ohio. Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy's, did the cooking himself. He named the restaurant after one of his daughters, Melinda Lou, nicknamed Wendy by her brothers and sister. From the beginning, Wendy's made quality food its focus; an emphasis reflected in the motto, "Quality Is Our Recipe." Today, there are more than 6,000 Wendy's restaurants in the United States and 33 countries and territories. About a third of the restaurants are operated directly by the company and the balance are operated by franchisees such as Valenti Management. More that three million guests enjoy Wendy's food each day.
Founded in 1975, Brinker International is the world's #2 casual-dining restaurant operator in terms of revenue with more than 1,600 restaurant locations in some 20 countries. Its flagship Chili's Grill & Bar chain boasts about 1,200 restaurants. Specializing in southwestern-style dishes, Chili's menu features fajitas, margarita grilled chicken, and its popular baby back ribs. Brinker International also operates the On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina and Maggiano's Little Italy.
